Reilly Sinanan - is an interdisciplinary artist exploring the use of objects and sculptural forms within the context of performance. His approach to working, be it through installation, sculpture, video or body-based performance is heavily rooted in the belief that the world is not black and white. As a visual artist, his aesthetic repertoire is both diverse and inventive and commonly blurs the line between performer and object. Frequently employing wood as a material for both fabrication and metaphor, Reilly is fascinated by the dichotomy of its rigidity and fallibility as a natural substance. This on-going exploration has recently led to the development ofWOOD, an experimental partnership of collaborative alchemy with artist Matt Drews. Reilly has received training and mentorship in the performance pedagogy ofGuillermo Gómez-Peña and currently lives and works in Seattle, WA where he is an active member of the hyper-experimental performance troupe, Degenerate Art Ensemble, creating objects and projected visuals for their live productions.
